This chapter outlines interventions and management of psychiatric emergencies for oncology teams when a psychiatric consultant is not available. Particularly, suicidal intentions are explored, and differences between low-risk intentions and high-risk intentions are defined. Emergencies addressed include suicidal emergency, refusal of treatment, and demand to leave.
