All cancers can impact sexuality and intimacy for years. Addressing sexuality issues demonstrates to the patient that the clinician is open to questions and concerns about sexuality. Using Annon's PLISSIT Model of sexual assessment, the clinician can open the discussion about sexuality with the aid of open-ended questions.
