This chapter has two basic goals: review general health and medical issues unique to women, including menstruation, menopause, uterine bleeding, contraception, infertility, and medical issues of pregnancy, diseases of the uterus and adnexa, and breast conditions and discuss medical conditions that present differently in women than in men, including cardiovascular disease, depression, anxiety, intimate partner violence and sexual assault.
