Interstitial lung diseases, better described as diffuse parenchymal lung diseases, encompass a group of heterogeneous lung conditions characterized by various etiologies, clinical and radiologic manifestations, clinical courses, and responses to treatment. This chapter has two goals: understand the diagnostic approach to interstitial lung diseases and identify key features and differentiating characteristics of interstitial lung diseases.
