ADHD/DAMP occurs together with non-psychiatric/non-cognitive problems, inclduing sleep disorders and febrile seizures/epilepsy. Ambidexterity and left-handedness are relatively commonly occurring. Many children with ADHD/DAMP are prone to accidents. It is important for clinicians and parents/individuals affected to be aware of these (sometimes very strong) correlations, so that every child with ADHD/DAMP can receive appropriate help, not just for one aspect of their problems, but for all of them.
