Diet is a primary influence of the health of men, and the Mediterranean style-diet is the most anti-inflammatory, leading to reductions in risk for many of the conditions important for men including accelerated aging. Other diets useful for specific conditions include elimination diets, extremely low-fat diets, caveman-style diets and low carbohydrate diets. Nutritional supplements, such as vitamins or fatty acids, may be indicated for many conditions to aid in prevention or treatment. Obesity, depression and insulin resistance are conditions associated with many health concerns in men and are clearly ameliorated with nutritional interventions.
