With over 10 million cancer survivors in the United States and the incidence of cancer treatment related pain syndromes soaring higher each year, the tumor itself is less often the cause of pain than is the treatment. Knowledge of injuries that can occur due to chemotherapy, surgery and radiation therapy are crucial in trying to understand and manage cancer pain.
