Newborn with bilious emesis.

Supine radiograph of the abdomen shows an enteric tube with the tip in the stomach, which is on the opposite side of the cardiac apex (arrowhead), indicating heterotaxy. The duodenal bulb is dilated (arrow) and there is no distal bowel gas. This is the “double bubble” sign of duodenal atresia....
