Case 31 is a 52-year-old man developed chronic right flank pain and an abscess two years after a laparoscopic cholecystectomy for gallstones. Several attempts with percutaneous catheter drainage were unsuccessful at resolving the abscess, and the case includes diagnosis, findings, differential diagnosis, teaching points, and management.
