Recent advances suggest that there are five subtypes of EOC namely high-grade serous, clear cell, endometriod, mucinous and low-grade serrous with distinct clinical behaviour. Surgery is the standard of care in patients with early stage EOC. The role of adjuvant chemotherapy in different subtypes of EOC is still evolving.
