In spite of advances in cancer diagnosis, treatments, and an increased survival rate, the undertreatment of cancer pain remains a major problem throughout the world. Cancer pain may have various presentations. Careful assessment, understanding painful conditions in cancer, accurate diagnosis for causes of pain, appropriate use of drugs, interventional, psychological, and other available strategies are all essential for improving the well-being of the patient. This chapter focuses on the role of neuroablative treatment for management of intractable cancer pain.
