Chapter 15 discusses how pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, rodenticides and molluscicides, and their various types are defined, and how the main toxic effects of each type are defined and classified, the common terminology of the toxicology of pesticides, how insecticides are defined and classified, the various types and the main toxic effects of each type (e.g. organochlorines, organophosphorus compounds, pyrethrins, and synthetic pyrethroids), insecticides of biological origin other than pyrethrins and nicotine, and how to apply acquired knowledge in the analysis and management of hazardous situations.
