Viva 48 shows a young patient who was the passenger in a high-speed RTA. What does this radiograph show and what would the initial management be in the emergency department be. Once in theatre how would this injury be treated and what is the management once the dislocation is reduced? A CT scan shows an additional posterior wall fracture – what are the indication for fixing the posterior wall fracture, and how would this fracture be fixed, and what complications should the patient be warned about?
