The normal and abnormal biology of bone is an active area of research. This chapter present some recent findings, including genetic and molecular methods, studies of bone strength and fracture incidence, and the importance of nutritional and epigenetic factors in bone development. Therapeutic options for osteoporosis and other bone disorders are also explored.
