A 43-year-old woman is admitted with a sudden severe headache in good neurological condition. She has marked photophobia and is vomiting. Her CT scan shows subarachnoid blood and angiograms confirm a right PCom aneurysm. The patient undergoes coiling of the aneurysm as in view of the neck it is considered likely to provide a good angiographic result. The angiograms before and after coiling are shown in Fig. 27.1. She makes a good recovery which continues when she is seen in outpatients 6 weeks later.
