A 19-year-old male with a history of recurrent fractures from birth was seen in the rheumatology department. He had sustained more than 40 fractures leading to painful skeletal deformity and he had been wheelchair-bound from the age of 10 years. His father was also affected by ‘brittle bones’ and was restricted to a wheelchair.
