Material selection and intervention technique are important factors for the procedural success, especially in the high risk subjects.

The clinical judgement (based on the knowledge of guidelines) must precede the indication in order to maximize the patient's clinical benefit based on available modern percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) techniques.

Attention should be paid to prevent arterial access site complications and contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN).
