Chapter 14 discusses the link between 5-HT and migraine, which is strengthened by the fact that intravenous administration of 5-HT can alleviate migraine attack, and that several drugs effective in migraine, both as acute and prophylactic treatments, are high affinity 5-HT receptor ligands.
