Chapter 30 discusses end-of-life patient care, and present clinical case studies are to illustrate some of the fundamentals necessary to provide comprehensive interdisciplinary care for patients and their families. The management of bowel obstruction and the indications for parenteral nutrition (PN) and hydration are discussed while the treatment of specific nutritional impact symptoms appears in Part 4 of this book.
