Chapter 27 discusses how the number of cancer survivors increases with each passing year, and how it is imperative that the long term health issues of cancer survivors is addressed, and that care is delivered that can prevent adverse sequelae and preserve or improve functional status and overall health. Lifestyle factors, such as exercise (see Chapter 29), diet, and weight control are central to this effort.
