The Fabrica is a monumental work composed of seven books, almost seven hundred pages, and more than two hundred illustrations. The seven books of the Fabrica are dedicated to separate aspects of the human body, including the bones, muscles, arteries and veins, nerves, internal organs, heart, and brain. Compared with other anatomy books of the time, the book signposted a revolutionary point of departure from tradition.
