This chapter provides a brief overview of the hospice and palliative care movement, general integrative medicine usage in the United States, and the implementation of integrative medicine services into standard hospice and palliative care with a discussion of specific integrative medicine modalities. The difficulties with implementation of integrative medicine services into hospice and palliative care organizations and future directions are also discussed.
