This chapter systematically investigates and summarizes research on the use of homeopathic treatment in older adults. To date, only very few clinical trials have investigated the use of homeopathic interventions in older adults. Hypotheses based on available data are that additional homeopathic treatment may help to reduce disease severity and improve well-being and quality of life, and may help to reduce polymedication. The data arenot yet sufficient for definite conclusions to be drawn. Further studies on comparative effectiveness are needed to evaluate these hypotheses.
