This chapter provides a summary of a landmark study in neuro-oncology. What is the efficacy and safety of adjuvant temozolomide, given postoperatively in addition to radiotherapy, for patients with glioblastoma? Starting with that question, it describes the basics of the study, including funding, study location, who was studied, how many patients, study design, study intervention, follow-up, endpoints, results, and criticism and limitations. The study indicated that the addition of temozolomide to radiotherapy early in the course of glioblastoma provides a significant, albeit modest (2.5 months) survival benefit. The chapter briefly reviews other relevant studies and information, and concludes with a relevant clinical case.
