Ayurveda is a longstanding medical system that approaches health through a deep understanding of individual factors and comprehensive lifestyle approaches. Research has demonstrated the benefit of individual Ayurvedic approaches, such as yoga and meditation, as well as an integrative Ayurvedic approach in the setting of chronic pain. Ayurveda can be especially helpful when pain exists in the setting of co-morbidites, such as anxiety and insomnia, which require a more comprehensive approach.
