Chronic non-cancer pain (CNCP) is a growing problem in the U.S., associated with significant management challenges. The vast majority of people with chronic non-cancer pain are seen by primary care providers, despite minimal training in CNCP. Emerging models of education and clinical collaboration are available for the front-line clinician with available resource to facilitate management of CNCP.
