Chapter 16 reviews the published evidence from studies exploring the learner perspective on post-basic medical education in the UK. The learner group is all doctors who have completed their undergraduate medical training and who are undergoing foundation and specialty clinical training. This chapter does not look at the views and experiences of medical students or of trained clinicians undertaking continuing professional development.
