This chapter provides guidance to the diagnosis and management of leg ulcers, including venous ulcers, pyoderma gangrenosum, calcific uraemic arteriolopathy (calciphylaxis), and livedoid vasculopathy. The chapter provides a practical approach to preparing to examine an ulcer, assessing the peripheral circulation, investigation, understanding/controlling pain in leg ulcers, and the choice of dressings. Additional sections discuss the diagnosis and management of lipodermatosclerosis, lymphoedema, and lipoedema.
