This chapter continues to consider an array of generic OSCE themes that are useful in many different scenarios, and suggests some strategies and solutions in each of these basic areas. The chapter suggests some strategies to deal with challenging scenarios that may be useful to the OSCE candidate. These challenging scenarios include: the crying patient; the paranoid patient; the guarded patient; the angry patient; the angry relative; the sad patient; the talkative patient; the chaotic patient; the weary consultant; and the junior multi-disciplinary team member.
