This chapter proposes that a heightened diagnostic edge is useful in the OSCE, and suggests that a modelling strategy is useful in achieving this. The chapter suggests ways that the study group can create their own complex OSCE scenario from basic elements, by modelling a brand new station, and there is a practical exercise that the candidate can use as an example and starting point for this method of study. The chapter goes on to consider the importance of modelling our own performance, and recommends the use of video for this purpose.
