Chapter 48 provides a brief yet structured approach to the more common, less severe lower-tract (bladder and rectal) dysfunctions. It will cover pathophysiology and interventions for these disorders as they manifest symptomatically in the form of urinary or rectal incontinence. It will encompass the child and adolescent and touch upon psychopharmacological effects and side effects on urinary and rectal function, with a brief description of psychopharmacological effects on the other pelvic organ systems.
