Chapter 45 provides an overview of assessment and psychopathology in preschoolers, a discussion of developmental considerations regarding psychopharmacological treatment, and a review of evidence supporting psychopharmacological treatment in preschoolers. For the purposes of this discussion, preschoolers will be defi ned as children aged 36–72 months.
