Chapter 40 presents an integrated and up-to-date overview of diagnostic and mainstream treatment approaches, with an emphasis on psychopharmacology in adolescent anorexia nervosa (AN), bulimia nervosa (BN), and eating disorder not otherwise specified (EDNOS). The latter category includes eating disorders often associated with obesity, such as binge eating disorder (BED) and loss of control over eating (LOC). Although obesity itself cannot be regarded exclusively as an eating disorder, relevant drugs for its treatment will also be discussed.
