Chapter 25 discusses patients’ interest in CAM and their frequent use in pediatric psychopharmacology, and how many physicians do not feel comfortable asking about, discussing, or recommending CAM treatments. Negative physicians’ attitudes can occasionally be a problem and may result in not inquiring about CAM use, with potentially avoidable harmful interactions with prescription drugs and unnecessary alienation of patients.
