Sleep-related breathing disorders are classified into the following categories: obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) syndromes, central sleep apnea syndrome, and sleep-related hypoventilation or hypoxic syndromes. These disorders can occur in adults or in children. Clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment are discussed in this chapter.
