The OSCE examination is a simulation of a real clinical experience, and the candidate’s study group should aspire to recreate this as closely as possible. This chapter gives the OSCE candidate guidance on group membership and suggests how to feedback and be critical in a safe way for all group members. The chapter describes the importance of separating facts and feelings with group feedback, and suggests a way of assigning roles in the study sessions. It goes on to encourage the candidate to be a team player, and finally considers post-session objective analysis and the consideration of the group’s feelings.
