This chapter provides an overview of yoga as a treatment and management option for patients with chronic pain. The research to support yoga’s benefits is also increasing not only for physical health, but emotional and spiritual as well. Yoga can be tailored to fit individuals’ physical or psychological limitations and can range from gentle to strenuous, with some types of yoga stressing a cardiovascular workout and others grounded in mindfulness and meditation.
