In our inquiry after constructs, models and definitions of forgiveness, and evidence for its usefulness and meaningfulness, we found a highly adequate relational model of forgiveness. Its efficacy is that it is free of contradiction and that it is able to unify a mixture of moral, psychological, and social-psychological elements in a coherent way. It most certainly has the potential to offer congruence between theory and practice, through which it is a relevant model. As such, it has a certain simplicity or elegance in that it can shed light on various aspects of granting and seeking forgiveness.
